Climate Change Infographics

This Project was done for my information design class. For the project we had to create 3 seperate graphs with a theme of data. They could be used as posters, or social media posts. It is targeted at 17-25, male, middle income people that are either resistant to or unaware of climate change. The data speaks for itself, but I wanted to give the data extra visual interest to try to break through to the ignorant audience. I took a lot of inspiration from the recent “acid graphic” trend.

I used a bitmap effect on the drip and the skull. I used different blending modes to help the lines stand out on the graph against the iceberg. I added tons of different filters to the iceberg to jazz it up. added the drips to go with the idea of melting.

Everything on this panel was used to emphasize vertical tension which goes with the feeling of ‘rising’.

I’m very proud of the visual hierarchy and composition of this panel but unfortunately the data I chose is a little difficult to understand compared to the heavy hitting last two panels.
